CD RELEASE CONCERT--------WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

---March 30, 2022---

After 2 years of frustration and over 6 years, I was able to FINALLY have a CD Release Concert!!! On March 30th, I was humbled by almost 700 of my fans and friends that gathered at my Alma Mater, Governor Mifflin Senior High School, to perform the songs off of my debut album "Erich Cawalla - The Great American Songbook". The show featured a 26 All-Star Big Band and Orchestra and was a moment I will NEVER forget for the rest of my life. So much has happened in the past 2 years including many of my mentors passing away including my arranger, Dave DePalma, who left us unexpectedly in Septemnber 2021 due to fast-moving pancreatic cancer. I was able to play parts of the CD to Dave about 30 minutes before he left this world and I trust that he heard his wonderful arrangements on more time. What a night---FINALLY!!!! I cannot accurately describe how wonderful the night felt. THANK YOU to all of my many friends and fans that supported me on this special night. I will be performing the show again with my 17-Piece All-Star Big Band at the Ware Center in Lancaster on April 29th. I hope you will join us! The album will be released nationally on May 9th via Chicago-based BluJazz. There are lots of great things on the horizon and I look forward to the next step. LOVE ALL OF YOU!!!

2020 - WHAT A YEAR - KEEP YOUR CD RELEASE CONCERT TICKETS!!!

---February 1, 2021---

What can any of us possibly say about 2020 except it's been a year of reinvention and unfortunately, the loss of many loved ones. In the midst of a year, three of my musical mentors passed away including Bobby Mercer, Tony Kurdilla, and in January 2021, Robert "Doc" Mulligan. My Great Aunt Josie and my father's Godmother/Grandmother's Cousin Kathryn passed away as well. I really have never dealt with so much loss in one year. On top of that, the entertainment industry has come to a standstill for almost a year. However, WE WILL ENDURE and we will come out of this as hopefully better human beings. I was set to release my debut CD on March 25, 2020 featuring a 26-Piece Big Band and Orchestra, but that date is currently on hold. I am hoping to release it in Fall 2021 but if not, we will look to early 2022. For those of you that purchased tickets, THANK YOU! These tickets will absolutely be honored when the concert is finally set. I will continue to post updates on my website and Facebook page at Erich Cawalla Music....ONE DAY AT A TIME!!! Let's get through this and keep making good music. STAY SAFE!!!!!! Yours Truly, Erich Cawalla

Erich releases first release from upcoming album!!!

---October 15, 2019---

This is an exciting time for me. For the past 4 years, I have been working on a full-length Great American Songbook album in the style of Michael Buble, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, etc. Singing and performing standards has always been one of my favorite types of music to perform because all of these songs tell a story and have brilliant chord structures. The full album release is set for on March 25, 2020, but I am proud to be able to provide a "teaser" to the album and release the first single, an updated version of the Smokey Robinson classic, OOO BABY BABY! Produced by Bennie Sims and arranged by Dave Depalma, it features a full 17-piece traditional big band with strings, features myself on Vocals and Saxophone, and is available for purchase or streaming on all Internet sites. We have also teamed up with Greg Pasenko at Blu Jazz for radio promotion so you may hear it on your local radio station as well.
